Fashion Tips for Women in Cowboy Boots

Women in cowboy boots are a more common sight today than ever before. Once upon a time cowboy boots were worn for practical purposes only. These purposes included horseback riding and ranch duties. Today, men and women wear Western boots not just for practical purposes but for the sake of fashion. Even if you're not into the country look you can wear the trend of cowboy boots. The key is to choose the right pair of boots and wear them with the right outfit.

The first step to wearing cowboy boots is to determine the proper size. This can be done easily by having your foot measured by a professional shoe salesperson or bootmaker. You may find that you have an easy to fit shoe size, or you may have a half size or wide width size. Next you should determine what look you like best. There are traditional boots in neutral colors like brown and black. These colors look fabulous with most any outfit and coordinate with many different accessories like purses and belts.

Then there are boots in wild fashion colors and even fun prints. Examples of shades you might come across include purple, pink and red. The key when wearing a bright pair of boots is to keep the rest of your ensemble fairly neutral. Bright boots look stunning with a pair of slim fit denim jeans and a cute top. You can even wear them with a tailored blazer. For a modern city look, pile on some gold or silver bangles and wear large hoop earrings and a pair of oversize sunglasses. The look is city meets country and it is all the rage right now. You can also wear your boots with a skirt, just keep the look balanced by wearing a fitted top if your skirt is full.

When it comes to the heel of your boot, you will find that although most cowboy boots have a one inch heel they do come in higher styles and even flats. A bit of height looks fantastic on most women. When trying on boots, walk around in them a bit to make sure they feel comfortable on your feet. Women in cowboy boots can look fabulous no matter where they go. Whether you are in a city nightclub or a country ranch, your boots will carry you through the day!
